Dr. James Hoffman provides oversight and leadership for patient safety across St. Jude. He focuses on refining existing tools and identifying new means of patient safety event detection, assessing and improving patient safety culture, and developing and improving clinical decision support.
Dr. Bijan J. Borah is a health economist with expertise in comparative effectiveness research (CER) and the statistical and econometric methods used in CER. Dr. Borah is the Scientific Director of Health Services and Outcomes Research in the Mayo Clinic's Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.
Dr. O'Donnell's research focus is on achieving individualized care by considering each patient's genetic profile when making therapeutic decisions, especially regarding different chemotherapy choices. Dr.
Kelsey Cook received her PharmD from the University of North Carolina, completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas, and completed a PGY2 Clinical Pharmacogenomics Residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Dr.
Dr. Valentina Shakhnovich’s research program focuses on drug dose individualization for children with gastrointestinal disorders, with a specific focus on genetic and non-genetic factors that contribute to variability in drug disposition and response to medications, including PPIs.
Dr. Wright has been in her current position at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, since 2017. She sees patients in the pharmacogenomics clinic and serves as the Vice Chair of the Pharmacogenomics Task Force to help implement clinical decision support throughout Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Patel received his doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy and completed an oncology pharmacogenomics postdoctoral fellowship at the UNC Center for Pharmacogenomics and Individualized Therapy. He leads translational and clinical pharmacogenomics research, including implementation science, at Levine Cancer Institute.
Dr. Disdier-Moulder has worked as a clinical pharmacist in cardiology for Mayo Clinic Rochester for the last 17 years, and obtained the BCCCP certification in 2020. She obtained PGx certifications from both University of Florida (2018) and the Mayo Clinic (2020).
Tyler Stevens is a graduate of the University of Minnesota PharmD program. He completed a PGY-2 residency in Clinical Pharmacogenomics at Children’s Minnesota. His residency focused on enhancing clinical skills in pharmacogenomics and developing expertise in clinical implementation of pharmacogenomics into the electronic health record. Specifically, he helped with implementation of the recent Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium Guideline for CYP2C9 and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
