Jacob T. Brown, PharmD, MS

Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Minnesota

Dr. Brown’s expertise lies primarily within pediatric pharmacotherapy, pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics, and pharmacokinetics. He has ongoing research collaborations focusing on the pharmacogenetics of antidepressants and behavior and development medications with Children's Minnesota and Essentia Health and was also one of the leaders of the atomoxetine/CYP2D6 CPIC guideline published in 2019. Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate coursework and doctor of pharmacy degree at Creighton University, followed by a PGY-1 residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and a T32-funded fellowship in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology. During his fellowship, he also completed a Master of Science in Clinical Research through the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He currently co-directs the College of Pharmacy's PGx Clinical Workforce Training Program.
